The Florida Panthers Have No Spectators And They Did It Without A Ban
-
A youth hockey organization on Vancouver Island is considering banning spectators at its games, at least for one weekend during the playoffs, because there's too much abuse from parents. This is a big league -- 35 arenas, 7,300 players, with 1,100 officials, 200 of whom quit every year because of all the abuse. Is a total ban on parents in the stands an appropriate response?
