You Don't Always Get Advance Warning

The story about the subway token booth attendant who shot himself dead at the station includes a co-worker noting that there were no signs. But there often are no signs that someone's suicidal, at least no signs you would notice as they happen. And if someone suffers from depression, you don't always see it and there's no way to "just snap out of it." Sorry for the PSA, but whenever there's a suicide in the news, it seems people have the same reactions. (New York Daily News)
