We Are The World

I'm including this great tale from Funny or Die's Adam Richenbach because it shows... well, you know about Zach Galifianakis' "Between Two Ferns," right? And how the guest is the straight man and has to be able to take a joke as Zach asks weird questions, ignores the answers, and becomes openly hostile? That wasn't a problem for President Obama, who played along quite well. But when they tried to get NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the league ordered that Goodell could not be the butt of any jokes. And when the producers said that Obama had done it, and he's the President of the United States, the NFL people responded, "well, he's not the commissioner of the NFL." Any questions you had about how the league sees itself above the rest of society have been answered, I trust. (Deadspin)
