Being The Head Of The Tourism Bureau Might Be The Hardest Job In The World

This is an interesting article about Gallup, New Mexico, a town where there are so many alcoholics, they have a tendency to have dead bodies all over town on cold nights, because people pass out outside and freeze to death. THAT'S a problem. They're careful not to play into the stereotype of Native Americans and alcohol abuse, but they also note that the town is the closest retail/population center to the Navajo Nation nearby. Whatever's happening there, they can't seem to get a handle on how to stop the deaths and the drinking and the drunks harassing customers at Walgreens. What CAN they do? (Los Angeles Times)
