There's An Ad Slogan - 'Beer So Good, It's Worth A Felony Charge'
-
A bar in the Twin Cities suburbs has been busted for selling Wisconsin beer. This isn't part of the Minnesota-Wisconsin rivalry; there's a law against transporting beer for sale across state lines without a license for it, and violating it is a felony. A felony for beer? Why, in 2015, are there still laws about this kind of thing? Why shouldn't anyone who has a license to sell beer be able to sell whatever beer they want, regardless of where it was brewed?
