Sales Don't Always Equal Rewards

What happens when you take a shot at your dream and miss the mark? This woman was not even, as termed in the article, a one-hit wonder. She got a chance to make a record for a major label at the age of 23 in 1969, a cover of doo-wop standard "Angel Baby" on Imperial Records (courtesy of The Real Don Steele, no less, her boyfriend at the time), and it flopped. 46 years later, here she is, performing to patients in nursing homes. But, you know, what's wrong with that? She's making people happy, a few at a time. There's something more noble and special about that than selling a zillion records. Oh, and you can hear that record here. (KDVR-TV/Denver)
