With the guilty plea from one ex-aide and indictments of others, is there any point to Chris Christie's presidential campaign? He has practically no supporters left, everyone's distrustful of him, there's the whiff of bullying at minimum and corruption at worst... why even bother with the charade? Who's left in his corner? He probably couldn't even carry New Jersey at this stage. It's clear Republicans need a candidate who can appeal to those turned off by the troglodyte social positions of most of their candidates but want smaller and more fiscally responsible government, but Christie is clearly not that candidate.
