They're Adorable, If You Ignore The Noise And Smell

Around here, we sometimes get goats to eat the brush on hillsides where tractors are impractical. (See my Twitter and Instagram feeds for examples; we get LOTS of goats in my town.) Up in Agoura Hills, they used goats on one hillside, but, apparently, they didn't put up the electric fence they usually use to corral the critters, and the goats promptly got loose and, suddenly, goats everywhere. Goats in the road, goats in the median, goats all over the place. The goats eventually made it back to the hillside, but the moral is, fence your goats. Okay, another thing: I'm gonna be honest, the goats don't do that good a job. A weed whacker would be more effective. There, I said it. Sorry, goats. (KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
