Interns Are Off-Limits. This Shouldn't Be That Hard To Understand
-
Nothing's more pathetic than a middle-aged guy coming on to an intern, and you'd think that the Lewinsky affair would make politicians think twice about going down that road, but here we have the Speaker of the Missouri House trading suggestive text messages with a college freshman, and, because this always happens, the texts ended up in the hands of a news organization, namely the Kansas City Star. The Speaker, John Diehl, is 49 and flirts like a teenager. The intern IS a teenager. The internship program's been suddenly shut down. Yeah, she flirts with him, but he's way too old to be flirting back. Fun fact: He shows up on her contacts as "Frank Underwood," as in "House of Cards." Creepy as F. (Kansas City Star)
