He used to run Wonkette, a major political blog. Ken Layne quit that. And for his next move, he decided he wanted to do something very different, and he has done that: a quarterly print journal about the desert, in black-and-white, as low-tech as it gets, no web presence, distributed by himself to shops in towns around Joshua Tree.
