Seeing Mike Trout's Worth The Price, Though
-
Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim, of course) ticket sales are way down. But the team's happy. Why? Because they raised ticket prices and thus are ahead of the game for revenue. That, they admit, seems counter-intuitive in one way: It's always been assumed that you get people in the ballpark cheap and they'll spend on concessions. But in Anaheim, they're concentrating on selling the expensive seats and suites, and it seems to be working. In case you're wondering what this means for those of us who buy the regular seats, we've been marginalized. They're saying they really don't need us in the park. (Orange County Register)
