It's Ever So Convenient To Send Our Jayden And Brooklyn To Lute Practice

Shuddle, billed as an "Uber for kids" that shuttles children to and from activities and school when parents can't do it, is missing, according to the state of California, the essential element of background checks for the drivers. But the company says that its background checks are actually better and more up-to-date than the one mandated by the state. And the state hasn't rushed to shut them down, which might be a tacit admission that the whole scheme of background checks isn't really suited to a new generation of businesses catering to child care. While they fight it out, the question is, who do you trust with your kids? And if it's become necessary to have a car service just for shuttling kids around town, have we reached the point where we've destroyed, in a way, childhood? I mean, back in our day (get off our lawn!), it wasn't like this and if you couldn't walk or take a bus or ride a bike to an activity, you didn't do it.... (USA Today)
