Expand To Philadelphia So We Can Have A Major League Team Again
-
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said at the All-Star Game luncheon that he's open to expansion. Do we need more teams than we have? Maybe it's because everyone's thinking that Montreal is ready to return, and that the Rays and Marlins, the attendance laggers, can't get out of their leases to move there. But where else? Charlotte's new park can't be expanded for the majors. San Antonio, maybe. Vancouver would need a park and the Mariners would scream. Portland, same thing. I doubt a third New York area team on the Jersey side would be an option, not with the Yankees, Mets, and Phillies that close. Where else IS there? Monterrey, Mexico? London? What's he thinking?
