The truck driver who plowed into a group of motorcyclists, killing two, claims that his arrest was invalid because the cops didn't speak Spanish. The cops say that there were no communication problems at the arrest. Now, I understand that if someone doesn't speak English, that's a problem -- the incident in Alabama where the cop paralyzed a guy walking down the street for no reason is one example -- but where do you draw the line? Do the cops have to have someone at every crime scene speaking every possible language? (WGHP-TV/Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point)
