The developer got approval for his renovation of a London building by promising to build a museum dedicated to celebrating women. What he opened there was a Jack the Ripper Museum. Jack was known for... well, he did not treat women too well, actually. The owner rationalizes that he's honoring the victims. The neighbors say that what bothers them is less the schlocky Jack the Ripper theme than that he lied. Also that the particular neighborhood has nothing to do with Jack the Ripper, whose murders took place elsewhere in the city. (The Guardian)
