You Never Forget The First Time
-
Okay, gonna take something that resonates with me on a personal level and translate it into a universal talk topic: This is a review of a pizza joint in New Jersey, part of the Newark Star-Ledger's series on classic Jersey restaurants, and it's the place I first ate pizza, the place that was the first to sell pizza by the slice. It was the place where I formed my preference for New York-style thin-crust pizza, the place that doomed me to love pizza and not, say, anything healthier. Which raises the question, what restaurant from your youth shaped your taste? McDonald's? A hoagie shop, a family-style restaurant, a BBQ joint? What did it for you? (Newark Star-Ledger/NJ.com)
