You might not know this, but there's a serious cook shortage in restaurant kitchens across America. It's not about the head chefs, it's about the kitchen hands who actually do the work. Nobody wants to do it. Long hours, lousy pay, and in big cities, ten bucks an hour (or less) can't pay your rent. And with profit margins at restaurants pretty thin, and customers resistant to price increases... well, we have a problem. Oh, and one more Talk Radio Topic issue: Mexican immigration, legal or otherwise, is down, and that was a source of help for restaurants, so... yeah, you might have to eat at home more.
