Kids, Let This Be A Life Lesson For You On Punctuality. It Doesn't Appear To Matter

This teacher is proving that it's really hard to fire someone when the union rules and tenure get in the way. He's a New Jersey teacher who's been late for work 111 times in two years, yet an arbitrator ruled that the school system can't fire him for it without other forms of disciplinary actions being taken first, like giving him 90 days to "cure" his deficiency and progressively harsher discipline. He's suspended without pay until January 1st, but, really, what "progressive discipline" is gonna make a difference here? Who needs to be educated that being regularly late for work will get you in trouble? (NJ Advance Media/NJ.com)
