It's Not Whether You Can Write. It's How You FEEL About Writing
-
Both Penn and Swarthmore, two very good schools, have joined the growing number of colleges that are no longer considering the essay portion of the SAT in admissions. My own alma mater is noted in the same article as considering the same, and schools everywhere are dropping even their own essay requirements for admission. The question I have is this: Is the ability to write well no longer important? That's what they seem to be saying. Are 140 ungrammatical characters all you need in 2015? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
