So It's Illegal NOT To Be A Helicopter Parent Now?
-
A judge in British Columbia has ruled that children under 10 can’t be home alone. Ever. Not for a minute. The ruling was in the case of a divorced woman with two kids whose 8-year-old was a latchkey kid, getting home a couple of hours before she got home from work. The "expert" child psychologists said that leaving a kid under 10 unsupervised is dangerous for his or her development. Good thing they weren't around when I was that age and walked home alone from school. Seriously, the way we grew up was just fine and now it's illegal? (Vancouver Sun)
