New Jersey's civil service commission has upheld the firing of a corrections officer who smuggled cell phones into jail so he could trade racist texts with co-workers while on duty. There were over 5,600 texts making fun of black co-workers, inmates, and people in general, featuring the N-word in various forms. And one officer said he had two cellphones, one for his wife and another for his girlfriend, which is also... interesting. The whole dysfunctional department is interesting.
