Wait, There Was A Team In Camden?
-
Dead: The Camden Riversharks, a 15 year experiment in putting an independent minor league team in a park so close to a major league park that you could drive from one to the other in, like, 15 minutes (assuming the bridges aren't backed up). You could even take public transportation from the minor league park to the major league park. Didn't work. They want an affiliated team in there, and that might help. But why is it that some minor league teams close by major league parks (including the Allentown, Reading, Wilmington, Trenton, and Lakewood clubs surrounding Philly) do well and others (like this) can't make it work?
