A biscuit that survived the Titanic has sold for $23,000, and I'm not sure why someone would pay that much for anything like that, but someone did. I'm more interested that the emergency cracker rations -- of which this was one example -- were made by a company the primary business of which was making dog biscuits. How did that come about? "Okay, we need food humans will eat in an emergency. Who can we get to... hey, I know!" (Washington Post)
