And Maybe Run During Daylight Hours, To Be Totally Certain Of Where You're Going
-
A couple of guys were driving at night and saw a weird white thing sticking out of the gutter by the roadside, waving. For some reason, they decided to stop, and that's when they discovered that what they saw was a jogger stuck in a water-filled storm drain for two hours, waving a piece of styrofoam she'd been able to reach. She'd gone out running at night, couldn't see the drain, and fell in. And she's lucky they stopped. 20 other cars didn't. I'd say that the moral is to carry a flashlight, but when there's water like that and the drain grate is dislodged, you just aren't going to see it, light or no. (Grand Rapids Press/MLive.com)
