No Wonder The Cops Didn't Want Us To See This. Pretty Damning
-
Now that we finally have the dash cam video of the Laquan McDonald shooting in Chicago, the only question is how in hell it took over a year to indict the cop. I mean, one look at the video -- the video is here, and, warning, it is graphic -- leaves no doubt that the cop's story was bullsh-t. There's even a puff of smoke that indicates McDonald was shot while laying on the ground immobile, several seconds after the initial shot. Was the kid high? Apparently. Was he a good kid? Maybe not. Did he have a knife? Yes. Was it necessary for the cops to shoot him as he sort of pranced away? That's for a jury to decide, but the video makes it clear that it should not have taken a year and a lot of pressure for an indictment to be handed down. (WLS-TV/Chicago; DNAInfo Chicago)
