Big Brother Is Not Watching You When You WANT To Be Watched

That murder on a BART train in Oakland shouldn't be that hard to solve, since it was on a train and the trains have cameras, right? See, that's the problem: Unbeknownst to practically everyone (including some of the people who run BART), many of those video cameras are fakes, dummies, there to fool people into thinking they're being watched without the expense of actually putting in a video camera. This is shameful -- it means that there's effectively no security on those trains, all to save a buck. And I never thought I'd think that it was BAD that a government agency WASN'T spying on us.
