Any time you're tempted to go down the path of "official language" laws, remember how that plays in Quebec, where anything in English will draw government disapproval. Take this restaurant which is being told that it can't call grilled cheese sandwiches "grilled cheese" because it's not French. Never mind that even Francophones call it "grilled cheese," because the French translation is awkward. Some government bureaucrat is going to legislate that people not speak like people. (CTV News)
