Wasn't 'The Brain That Ate Itself' A Roger Corman Movie?
-
A study on mice indicates that cocaine, in very high doses, makes their brains eat themselves. Cells do that at times, a "clean up" system that rids the body of toxins, but coke apparently made the mice die by eating away important, healthy cells. Good news for people inhaling more cocaine than normal: There's an experimental drug that might protect the cells. Bad news: Hasn't been tested on people. Good news: You'd have to snort more coke than you can afford for your brain to eat itself. Bad news: You would if you could. (The Sun)
