While the mid-Atlantic waits for the latest Snowpocalypse, Washington got a preliminary weather situation in which a dusting turned into a traffic nightmare. But it was like practice for the real thing. What's interesting is that it's not like this hasn't happened before, yet the region always seems totally unprepared. Minnesota and New England can get belted with several feet of snow and be back in business in a day; the stretch from D.C. to New York City gets a little snow and it's panic. By now, you'd think they'd have plans and plows ready. (Washington Post)
