If That's A Reasonable Response, They Have An Interesting Definition Of 'Reasonable'

Remember the chaos a few years ago when ex-cop Christopher Dorner shot a couple in Orange County and then led police on a wild manhunt across Southern California? And do you remember how the cops royally screwed up and shot at a couple of women in a truck delivering newspapers? And how the women did nothing wrong and were clearly not Dorner, but the cops overreacted and opened fire anyway? And how they also shot at a surfer, and the cities of L.A. and Torrance ended up having to settle with the women for millions? Well, the D.A.'s office has decided not to file charges against the cops. It took them 52 pages in a report to justify not charging the itchy-trigger cops. This is why people not only don't trust the cops in cases like this, but don't trust the system to remedy the situation if the cops do something wrong. (Daily Breeze, Torrance)
