You saw the video of the staff at a Carrier plant in Indiana being told their plant was closing and their jobs moved to Mexico. Here's another company, a plant in Philadelphia, announcing that it's moving 1,300 jobs to Mexico, with some (and the headquarters) staying put. It's terrible. But let's play devil's advocate for a second: This is a company that makes brakes. The brake business is price-sensitive. Competitors are making brakes they can sell for less. If the competition is undercutting you and U.S. wages make it impossible to compete on price, and the market doesn't value quality or "Made In U.S.A.," what should the company do?
