Suddenly, Those Little Town Blues Don't Seem So Bad In Retrospect
-
It's become a thing, apparently, down in Battery Park in Manhattan, for aggressive phonies to go after tourists to sell them tickets to see the Statue of Liberty. They're annoying and fraudulent. But this is a new twist: A tourist from Arkansas was knocked out cold by a punch from one of the touts. A woman tried to sell him a ticket, he declined, and another man came up and punched the tourist in the face. You would assume there would be police and security there, but I've been in Battery Park many times over the years and all they have are randomly-placed barriers and bored parks department personnel.
