You'd Think The Headlights Coming Right At You Would Be Enough Warning
-
After so many incidents, they're finally testing technology to stop wrong-way drivers from getting on the freeways. They're testing a system that sets off red lights and flashing signs, and they say that so far, it's been effective: Since October 2014, at 17 exits in South Florida, 23 attempts to go the wrong way on an exit ramp have occurred, and only one driver didn't stop and turn around when the flashing started. (That one must have been in epic shape.) So, maybe this is the answer. (Yes, they've looked into spike strips like at rental car exits. Apparently, they don't work.) (WPLG-TV/Miami)
