Smells Like Progress
-
How can you renovate and gentrify buildings in a formerly sketchy neighborhood if someone's raising smelly snakes and mice in the basement of an adjacent building? That's the complaint of a developer of some structures in Allentown, PA, where the snakes and mice have been in the basement for 20 years with no complaints, because the buildings around them were vacant. Now, someone's trying to open restaurants and offices and stuff, and says the stench is overwhelming. Probably could have noticed that BEFORE buying into the neighborhood, but then again, why is someone raising snakes and mice in a city basement? (WFMZ-TV/Allentown)
