Feds Get The Info, Apple Keeps The Privacy-Hero Crown, Everyone's Happy

So, what did we learn from the end of the FBI-Apple suit with the announcement that someone helped the FBI hack into the San Bernardino shooter's phone? Well, if the FBI wanted to use this as a test case to make companies bend to their will to write software to let them have a back door, or an easier way to break encryption, they may not have liked their chances in court, or cooler heads may have convinced them that, well, let's see if we can do this some other way so we can all walk away like this never happened. At least, that's how this played out, and it means privacy may live to see another day, or at least another version of iOS. (New York Times)
