Funny, You Don't LOOK Like A Virginia. Oh, Well, Welcome Aboard Anyway
-
See, there's a loophole in the airport security laws where minors aren't required to show ID. And this 14 year old boy took advantage of that, despite being 6'2" and 200 pounds; he used a boarding pass in his mother's name and her credit card and made it onto a flight from Portland to Chicago. The TSA drone did ask him if his name was "Virginia," and he said yes, which is all it took. The kid has Asperger's and may have been convinced to go to Chicago by someone with whom he's been exchanging about 10,000 texts. But he made it all the way to O'Hare before his mom was able to track him down using a tracker installed on his cell phone. It seems too easy to circumvent the security process, doesn't it?
