It Ain't Health Food

Ever drink Sierra Mist? It's not Sierra Mist anymore, it's "Mist TWST," and it's not all-natural anymore, it's loaded with high-fructose corn syrup, which is angering fans. But this isn't the first time Pepsi changed things up without telling anyone: A few years ago, they made a big deal about dropping HFCS and switching to "all-natural" cane sugar, then, without making any announcement, they added stevia, which is natural but ain't sugar. Apparently, Seagram's did worse with their ginger ale, replacing some sugar with sucralose, which is hideous. Soda companies really don't care what their customers want or like, and assume, apparently incorrectly, if online complaints are any indication, that they won't notice. You really shouldn't drink soda anyway. (The Consumerist)
