New Jersey is considering a ban on harvesting the diamondback terrapin, a tiny turtle that lives in brackish water and is endangered because in some societies, it's a delicacy. They eat the poor little things. And in Asian markets, they get an average of $80 for what amounts to the reptilian equivalent of a brownie bite. So, time to stop it. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
