Something Tells Me We'll All End Up Paying More For Everything
-
California's Senate has passed a bill that would make it illegal to charge different prices for men's and women's models of stuff. They use examples like razors -- apparently, women's blades and razors cost more than men's. But what if businesses note a lesser demand for the "pink" versions, or, say, if women buy fewer razors because they don't shave every day? Are there rational explanations for charging different prices that aren't related to manufacturing cost? (Sacramento Bee)
