Remember When People Dressed In Suits To Fly? Me Neither
-
You might have seen the story over the weekend about the burlesque performer who was all bent out of shape because JetBlue asked her to change her clothes before she could board because her shorts were too revealing. And, yeah, you could say that the airline has no business telling people what to wear (although under the terms of service, they do). Still, it's like the story from yesterday (below) about office dress codes: Some people have no sense of propriety, and since propriety is subjective, there's no way to draw a line that'll make everyone happy. This woman knew that her outfit was provocative yet is offended that anyone would think it was, um, provocative. Do you have a right to wear something that's a little risque? How about a thong, or pasties? Technically, they're legal. Where's the line? IS there a line? (KIRO-TV/Seattle)
