It's Just 160 Degree Water. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

The death of a tourist who fell into a Yellowstone hot spring is yet another case where someone at the park just could not see fit to obey safety instructions and ended up paying the price, specifically getting himself cooked to death. I often write about people hopping fences around here and venturing out onto the cliffs 100 feet over the rocky Pacific coast, and some falling off (like a guy who fell off the other day and had to be rescued by helicopter); we had a story from Yellowstone the other week about tourist bloggers who caused damage when they left the boardwalk to take pictures. Are we going to end up losing the ability to see great sights because idiots can't control their impulses? (The Oregonian)
