If You Just Get A Toy, You Might Be Disappointed
-
So, I was doing some stuff for my other job, and one of our podcasts has been doing bits about weird stories involving Kinder eggs, those chocolate eggs with the plastic capsule inside containing a prize, the ones you sometimes hear about being banned in the U.S. because a kid might swallow the plastic. And I went to Google News to get details about the story on the podcast, and discovered that the Kinder Egg is clearly England's number one container for illegal drugs. Just this week alone, I found these: a couple getting 10 years in jail for hiding heroin in Kinder eggs; a gang member jailed for hiding crack and heroin in Kinder eggs; a teen who was caught with crack and diamorphine in a Kinder egg and blamed the influence of "a man much older than himself"; another dealer who hid heroin in a Kinder egg/a>; the kid who found crystal meth in his Kinder egg; and, finally, a couple who are going to jail for 30 years for beating a woman to death and stealing a drug-filled Kinder egg hidden in her vagina. I'm going to just suggest that anyone found with a Kinder egg be arrested, just on principle. (Hull Daily Mail; Doncaster Free Press; The Lincolnite; Bournemouth Echo; Daily Telegraph; Metro/London)
