You Want Them To Unlock Because... Nope, Can't Think Of Any Reason You'd Want That

A woman is suing Toyota for a design flaw, and once you hear what happened, you might agree that it was a deep, deep flaw: She was in the heart of North Philadelphia, 6th and Cumberland (not a nice neighborhood), and she put her SUV in park, and the car was apparently designed to unlock the doors when she put it in park, meaning it was easy for two guys to carjack her, rape her, and ultimately crash the SUV into some innocent bystanders, killing them. The families of the victims -- a mom and three kids -- are also suing. (This was the case in which Charles Barkley offered to pay for the family's funeral.) Bottom line: Why would a car company want locks to pop open without human intervention? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
