Whatever You Do, Just Keep My Frequent Flyer Miles Worth Something, Please
-
It is possible, the CEO of Alaska Airlines says, that, if and when the merger is approved, they might keep the Virgin America brand and operate it as a parallel airline with Alaska. It won't be easy, and it will be expensive for licensing the name alone, but if Virgin keeps being Virgin, I am one frequent VA customer who will be very pleased. I'm not holding my breath, because, as an analyst notes, it's more likely they'll merge the "best of both companies" into one brand, but I would prefer to keep the red and purple mood lighting and the chill music and the RED video system and the more comfortable seats and lower fares. Please. (AP)
