Another Reason Not To Watch The Political Conventions

A Japanese study claims that sitting in front of a TV for more than 2 1/2 hours a day can increase your risk of a fatal blood clot in your lung, and, see, this is where I stop reading and start complaining that ANY sedentary activity will increase that risk -- Google DVT and airplanes -- and TV is being used as a way to get attention. And, besides, people likely to spend that much time couch-bound and TV attentive are likely to have other bad habits like eating too much and not getting exercise, too. And it's always advisable to get up and walk around every half hour or hour or so. (CTV News)
