The Delta computer outage that's grounded all of the airline's flights on Monday once again raises the question: If your business is totally dependent on a computer system, how do you NOT have a totally redundant system at the ready, poised to take over the second the main system crashes? Okay, if you're just talking a reservations system or informational website, that's one thing, but if it's a life-or-death issue -- and controlling a flight schedule would be that -- you have to have redundancy.
