Sir, You're Being Charged With Latté Possession

The reports that New Jersey is considering a law to ban coffee drinking while driving were a little off; the bill, says the Assemblyman who wrote it, is meant only to target all distracted driving in general, not just coffee drinking. He doesn't think the cops would enforce it against mere coffee drinking. But you know they would, don't you? If something like this gets through, and a police force needs to hit their not-a-quota for the month, you know someone will get a ticket for being distracted by coffee, or the radio, or anything else. And in New Jersey, where they make it an art form to do everything behind the wheel, that won't fly. (AP via Philly.com)
