What do you know about how North America became populated with humans? They came across the Bering land bridge through a corridor that opened up as the ice melted 13,000 years ago, right? That was the prevailing theory for a long, long time. And it's apparently wrong, because people were already living south of the ice sheets well before the melting; there could not have been enough food and vegetation in the corridor for humans to survive. But the anthropologists were SO certain. I'm sure they're disappointed. (CBC)
