Another Highlight Of The War On Drugs
-
The Florida state attorney's office is taking the unusual step of asking for the release of a man who has spent 23 years of a 60 year sentence in prison. His crime? Possession of one ounce of cocaine. That's like a tablespoon's worth. It was his third offense, yes, but 60 years for that? And it STILL might take years for his case to reach the Governor's desk, because there's a massive backlog of clemency requests. (WBBH-TV/Fort Myers; Thanks to Dave Elliott at WGUF/Naples-Ft. Myers for the link)F
