Maybe You Can Facetime Them And Blink Morse Code
-
Plagued by butt dials, the Eugene, OR 911 system put in an automated, voice-activated system to filter out bad calls. This guy had an accident and called 911, and couldn't get to a dispatcher, because the system required him to say "help" and his jaw was injured badly enough that he couldn't enunciate the word. Only because a passer-by happened upon the scene and got help did the injured guy get saved. And while the officials insist that everything's fine and that if you can't say "help" (or even speak, in cases when you're hiding), you can hit a button, they really need to reevaluate this thing.
